Floor Plans
Based on initial responses to the questionnaire and subsequent discussions, the space requirements for a number of major components for the Low Energy Hall at RIA have been drawn up to serve as a starting point for our discussions. Additionally, two representative floor plans for showing layouts of this equipment at ANL and MSU have been drafted. Each drawing is available in PDF and JPG formats. Please check back frequently as these drawings are changing to fold in comments from Working Group members, facility representatives, and the community. The current version is 1.03.

We anticipate a lively debate on all the instruments in this hall as we strive to reach a design concensus.
Please note that ion optics calculations have not been done on the beamlines in this layout. These drawings are meant to illustrate both the floor space requirements for each of the major components, as well as what equipment can roughly fit into the current drawings of the low energy experimental hall. Discussions of these floor plans in progress at the RIA Facility Workshop being held at MSU on March 9 - 13, 2004.
